The Royal Diaries: Marie Antoinette, Princess of Versalles
The book that I am currently reading is The Royal Diaries: Marie Antoinette, Princess of Versalles. It's a pretty interesting book because it introduces the reader to what it was like when there were still monarchies in the world. It brings you into one of the personal lives of one of the princesses as she is living her experiences. I have realized that regardless of the time period, and regardless of the fact that she was a princess, there are many connections between her being a teenager then and now. I find that a lot of the same feelings arise that even I can connect to. I think that the author did a really good job with this, as I believe that one of his/her main points of writing this book is to describe that people at certain ages are timeless. A teenager will always be a teenager, a child will always be a child, and an adult will always be an adult. No matter if we live in the 1700's or the 21st century, we may be influenced by many different things from the time period, but overall, there is somewhat of a large similarity even so.
