should students really care about their education to decide on their future?

 Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been student's education and do we really need education to get a good future. Some people who are famous now don't even have to further their education to where they stand in life today. I remember Mrs.Binaso talking about it in class today about should students further their education beyond high school and go to college, but I didn't really get the chance to study this question lately. I know that your future depends on yourself because wherever you go in college it will help you in where you want to stand in life like becomming a doctor, etc. What I think is not fair is the celebraties and profession athletes, they didnt have to further their education usually not beyond high school to where they stand in life now. They are making big money as of now and they are famous for who they are without even going to college. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that many people feel that education is not really important because the famous people didnt really need it, but I am wondering is education that important in life. It is really important to me because growing up my parents didn't go to school and your education is the one that helps you understand who you want to be in life when the future comes. From what I have heard, education is really not necessary and that important to get a future job because if you do excessively good in one sport you can get into the professional league with no certain education at all. For example, I heard that Kobe Bryant didnt need no education at all to stand where he is in life today. Today is one of the biggest basketball starts making millions of dollars just playing basketball. He didnt have to go to college for that, he just got drafted out of high school. Now that's just what I've heard, it may or may not be true.

One thing that I know for sure about education is that without education you wont be able to learn anything. Education is key in life because it makes your knowledge stronger and helps you to better understand life and how we actually become to who we are as a person. Deciding on future plans requires education because without education you won't really know what you want to do with your life. Making decisions may be a hard task to do and once you make that decision, you will stick to it, even though it might change, you will always try to persue your dream careers. Now I've studied my share of History and I see that the high school drop rates are becomming higher and that kids arent taking school seriously. They believe that school is useless and it is not going to get you anywhere in life, but that is not true. Education in school is important because without learning what you want to major in, you wont have any idea at all. I believe that my education is important to me because without it, I wouldnt know much about what is really going on and what am I suppose to do with my life. Learning in school, in the environment with all different type of people, they can help you as well. Personally, it's funny to me how these famous actors, celebraties, etc are so famous without any education. Maybe they were born into that field, but a lot of people aren't like that. Everyone is different and unique in their own ways. Just follow in who you want to be, dont copy anyone else. 

Education wasn't really important to me in the past because I thought school was really boring and why are we in school for such long hours. I also wondered if school is going to help me in life at all because we go to school like 5 times a day in a week and I felt like it was a waste of my time, when I could me doing something else. Until a few years later I found out that education is really important to me and it decides my future. Without any education at all, I wouldn't be able to understand what the future really meant to me because the future is really important. It decides who you become in life and how much money you make. Education can help you become the person you want to be in life. Like in my life I want to become a doctor to help people. I love helping others and I want to save people's lives, but for me to do this I need to go onto college in where they can help me major in this field.

Being that I didn't have a lot of background information on education, I chose to do some research on the topic. As I searched for blogs and news articles on Google, I came across this one article: "Why is Education So Important." http://www.buzzle.com/articles/why-is-education-so-important.html. This article provided a lot of information and opinions on education. Some people felt that education were really important and some believe that it is not."The first thing that strikes me about education is knowledge gain. Education gives us the knowledge of the world around us. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life. It helps us build opinions and have points of view on everything in life. People debate over the subject of whether education is the only thing that gives knowledge." This statement didn't really surprise me all that much, but it did make me feel like I should take school more seriously. Education helps you decide on different opinions that you feel about life. It also gives you the knowledge that is needed to know in life. If you don't have education, how can you have different opinions on things all around the world.

In another article, "Education". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education there was this one statement that made me nod my head in agreement with the writer. It was: "Teachers in educational institutions direct the education of students and might draw on many subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics,science and history. This process is sometimes called schooling when referring to the education of teaching only a certain subject, usually as professors at institutions of higher learning. There is also education in fields for those who want specific vocational skills, such as those required to be a pilot. In addition there is an array of education possible at the informal level, such as in museums and libraries, with the Internet and in life experience. Many non-traditional education options are now available and continue to evolve."  This is so true, because education does help you become a stronger person in life and it helps you have a higher learning. Like celebraties who don't have education they dont know about much stuff and their opinions about stuff aren't very abroad. Education is everywhere around us. The library is a good source of education to us as well. Everywhere you go, you tend to learn something new everyday.

All of this makes me think that education is really important after all and if people tell me that education is not, I will explain to them why. A lot of my friends believe that school is boring and that it is no use in life, but I tell them that they are wrong because school decides your future and that they are just messing up their future. When they see someone with the job that they want to be, they will regret and look back into life and say to themselves that I should have went to school and be more like that person. I know that people make mistakes, but the mistakes that you make in life, might just be too late.
