Skinhead

During World War II  Europe was brought to  shambles and it's no secret by whom, Hitler's Nazi regime. However, it is a secret how many people still live by Hitler's same morals in the United States. They are called Neo-Nazi's or Skinheads, and they are the new face of American gang life.

Racism has always been a factor in America and but after the civil rights movements in the 50's and 60's, minorities have gained respect and equality in the U.S. But look deeper into some American cities and you will find private and public hate groups, but they have become much more than just bands of racists, they have branched into gangs recruiting young people into their hate regimes.

The KKK is one of the best known racist hate groups in American, starting in 1865, the Klan has been spreading fear for over a century. Yet this organization needn't be the greatest concern for the American people because more violent organizations are starting up and they have very different morals. Neo-Nazi's or Skinheads are gangs sprouting up across the United States looking out for the Aryan race. Keeping with Hitler's beliefs, these gangs will do anything to keep the Aryan race from going extinct, including murder of not just blacks but Jews, Asians, Latinos, and homosexuals.

This gang goes far beyond murder though. Starting in American prisons, Skinheads began controlling the drug trade. With their power in numbers and ruthless violence, Neo-Nazi's have managed to take over thousands of prisons helping them to manage drugs outside of jail. Manipulating gaurds and other inmates has helped them become one of the most feared and powerful gangs in American prisons.

Skinhead's reach spans all over the country, not just in prisons. Neo-Nazi's first began gaining popularity in the mid-eighties and have since grown immensely, to around 4,000 in the U.S. A Skinhead can be easily spotted in the prison yard and on the street, usually being covered in swastika tatoos and wearing steal toed-boots.
 

American Skinheads pattern their dress on the original British model; combat boots or Doc Martins, thin suspenders and bomber jackets. Many are heavily tattooed with emblems of white supremacy and Nazism. While most still wear their hair closely cropped, some have taken to letting it grow in order to make themselves less conspicuous to law enforcement and the civilized public.

These boots are one of the best weapons that a Skinhead has, doing something called "steal-booting" a member will repeatedly kick his victim with the tip of the boot, leaving him severely injured. Although Neo-Nazi's are a newer gang they use older methods, rather than use guns, Skinheads will use bats and knives.

Gangs are an unfortunate fact of American life. IN nearly every city there is some sort of gang rising up, but some are breaking the mold. The Skinhead way of life is becoming  more and more appealing to Caucasian American Youth and the country is starting to notice.
