Skyline Photo Discussion
I am exploring skylines. I am interested in this because I whenever I am on a roof or somewhere where I can see a skyline I always admire how pretty it is but I never take pictures. Digital Photography class was my motivation to start taking pictures of skylines.

In this photograph, I see the skyline of New York City overlooking the Hudson River. I know this was taken from my friends terrace in a weekend at the end of October. It was taken around 10p.m. on a warm night. My interpretation of this photograph is that it is in a place surrounding a bunch of lights and they stand out a lot more than the dark parts in the photo. It has been said that one photograph is worth a thousand words. This could be true about this photograph because it shows beautiful lights, sort of a birds eye view of New York City, the Hudson River. One thing that I know about skylines is that you need to be somewhere high up to capture them. One thing that I wonder about skylines is why all the buildings next to each other look so beautiful. This makes me think of if I took a picture of the skyline from somewhere down low would they look as cool?

This photograph relates to my photograph because there is a city skyline and a river in the picture. There are also many bright lights that complete the skyline. As I look at this and other photographs, my next photographs will be taken without blur, even though I did that purposely. If I were to look up some information about my theme/topic, I would like to know more about if a skyline has to be over a piece of water.
Since you are reading this post, I would like to ask you what about skylines makes them catch your attention so much?

Hey, I really like the photo you took. Usually when photos are blurry they don't look so good, but I agree with Ali, I like this picture because it is blurry. Good job!

Skylines that catch my eyes are ones that really show off the character of the city, or skylines that are original and don't look like just any place in the world..
