Slippery Sidewalks
Thanks to our school's fabulous parking situations, I have the great pleasure of walking up a good sized hill every morning. Now living in salt lake we get a decent amount of snow so you might say, "Isn't that horrible having to walk up that hill after it snows?" My answer would be "yes, but it's even worse a few days after the snow fall." The reason it is worse a few days after the snow fall is because after we all walk on that snow and pack it down it becomes very slippery and at this point even ice takes form. I have slipped on the ice on my walk up and down that hill a number of times. This wouldn't even be a problem if people would just head right out there and shovel their side walks right after the snow fall, which they are actually supposed to do or they could be fined up to $200. I also don't understand why the school doesn't take action on this. Isn't it their responsibility to keep us safe? But I guess if no one is going to do anything about this, I will just have to suck it up and try my hardest not to fall for a few more months.
