Orison Swett Marden once said “Don't wait for extraordinary opportunities. Seize common occasions and make them great. Weak men wait for opportunities; strong men make them.”This quote means someone who takes anything or does anything to do what they want or want to achieve is stronger than the one who just wait for things to come to them. For me those words mean to always try to do better I should not wait for things to happen. I have to go for them and do what is best for me. This quote connects to my life because I always want to do things better and try to do things by myself to help me.

My progress in my high school so far has been fine. I met some of my expectations. I always want to do better, anything that I could do to help me I would try to and try my best at it. Some successes I have achieved is managed my time and how I do things. At the beginning of high school I really got stress because I didn’t know how to manage my time; however; when I got to sophomore year I was better prepare and knew how to organize myself more. Another success I have achieved is trying to keep my GPA at a 90s average. It takes me a lot of work to get there, but I feel that by the end my hard work pays off. Long nights studying or trying to organize or do thing to help me memories help me keep on and moving forward. I hope to keep moving forward by trying my best on the things I do and trying to enjoy everything I do. I am happy with the things I achieved and try my best at. I am less satisfied on things I still have to improve; however; I am not perfect, but I have to keep trying to become the person I want to in the future. At the end of the line hard work pays off.

Spring cleaning is a fresh start at this time of the year. I want to start with no stress and have everything organized. I also want to keep my grade up and managed my time to enjoy myself. Some ways I hope to approach my own spring cleaning is by always doing my “To Do” lists. Its helps me get organized and know what has to be done. Another thing is making a schedule to do things to know when I can have a rest or go out. My upcoming goals for me are to study for my SAT and keep my grades up. Another thing is to see my family this summer; they are very important to me and I miss them. I want to keep my grades up and study for SAT. There are the things that are important to me and always keep in mind.

I am looking forward in this new season of my life is to keep moving forward to accomplish all my goals. I know if I want something I have to work hard for it and look for more information about it to accomplish it. We should not wait for things to come to us; we should go for them and look around to accomplish anything we want to do. The person who works hard and search for what they want is much stronger because they are trying and looking around to accomplish what they want.

Congrats! I've been in the position you are in(senior now) and I think you are doing well. I like how you mention that '“To Do” lists' because I do that to, I can remember, but I like the feeling of seeing what I have to do, and being able to cross things off. Good luck on the SAT, and I hope you get into the college you want.
