Suicide
Something that I have been interested in is suicide. I know That sounds weird but it is just a topic that I wish to learn more about. I remember listening to David Draiman talk about how suicide has affected him personally. In the beginning to the new hit single on their new CD Indestructible, "Inside The Fire" David talks about how someone in his life committed suicide. And how we should try to help those in need of it. I just recently saw the video to this and it got me thinking about everything. The video consists of his girlfriend committing suicide and how he loses his mind and ends up in a mental asylum. Most people think that someone who attempts, or commits suicide is a freak and should be put away. If someone in high school attempts suicide, if they every come back to that school, that person would be alienated and most likely be more incline to attempt again. When i hear that suicide is a cry for help, I think that is a load of crap. People say that to make others feel good.
One thing that I am 100% sure of is that a person that attempts suicide, needs help. I would think that they need real help because something must have been wrong with them. From a religious stand point, suicide is the ultimate sin. It is just something that is told is bad. I think that religion is just a lie, so its not a religious problem but it could be a social problem if anything. It is ironic that it is always the quiet ones that are the ones that have the most rage inside them.
Suicide is an important topic that has always been an issue. as I have explained before, the people that attempt need help, but they need constructive help, not just "your messed up take pills" help.
I, unfortunately have experience with suicide. I did not attempt, but i know people who did, 2 almost died. I talked to a family friend who is a therapist and she said that when someone attempts suicide, they go right to a psychiatrist, not a psychologist. They get the higher care first. I found more info on this from a Wikipedia article as stated in my last topic.
This makes me feel unsettled. There is so much on suicide, that must mean that a vast majority has attempted it. That is a problem we need to fix fast. If not, the would can be in a spiral of depression.

I finished reading your post about suicide. I think is true that people that has commited suicide need help. Its true that there are a lot of people in the world that are depressed. We need to help them and as you said we need to help them constructivly. I get your point that people are sent directly to the higher care first. That is bad because they dont see what is really the problem with the subject. There may be different levels of suicide. There may be a level one stage meaning the problem has no mental problem they are just really pissed at life. The the second stage can be depression. Then sevre depression and so on.

I think suicide is a thing that happens a lot especially with young kids. Suicide is a really big thing and I think it should not happen at all because it is a really bad thing. When I read your passage it made me think how stupid these people can be trying to commit suicide for the stupidest reasons ever. People who commit suicides I think they are freaks and they are just making a big mistake in their life and they should really think about what they are doing first. People should think before they do things because when people do stuff they make mistakes. People commit suicide because they want to die, Why do the people want to die? Are they crazy or something? People should not think of suicide as the number 1 thing to do because in the world suicide is caused by a lot of people due to many things. People also try to kill themselves because of stress or they don't get what they want. There are other things to do to release that, then to commit suicide. Suicide is a bad thing to do and people need to think before doing the things they do.

I just read your post about suicide. I too know someone who tried to commit suicide it happened very recently and it impacted me greatly. She's my best friend so I was extremely worried. What you say about getting sent to a psychiatrist instead of a psychologist. She got sent to a mental institution. She gets out next week and I really hope something like this never happens again.
If there is anyone here who is suicidal, please know that there are people there who care about you and there are people who can help you. You aren't alone and just know that there is hope.

I thank you for sharing that story. But in my personal oppinion, i think Psychiatrists DON'T work. Im sorry to think that but i havn't seen it work for anyone. But i hope that your firnd is ok, and giver her my condolences.
