Yesterday our entire senior class went to watch a movie downtown at the Sun. dance film festival. We saw the movie chasing ice, and I must say it was an eye opener. The movie's main focus was on the effects of climate change on the glaciers of the artic and Greenland. It showed how due to rising climates more and more glaciers have been receding faster than ever before. The movie was very good, and the images they showed were simply stunning. The big point of the movie was when the audience witnessed the biggest calving event ever recorded. It was a spectacular sight to see as a piece as big as lower Manhattan broke of from a glacier and yet horrifying at the sake time. Overall the movie was a wonderful watch and it really shed light on the effects of climate change. It really made you want to make a change in the environment before its to late.
