Sundays in Utah

One of the most frustrating things about living in Utah is trying to go out on Sundays. It is impossible to go out to eat on Sunday nights for dinner. Last weekend my grandparents were taking me out to eat for a celebratory dinner and told me I could pick any restaurant I wanted. I called restaurant after restaurant looking for somewhere that was open. Almost every restaurant I called was closed until I finally ended up going to Ruths Chris. Last night we ran into the same problem, we wanted to go out to eat and everywhere we wanted to go was closed. Places that used to be open on sundays were now closed. This may be due in part to the slow economy or lack of people willing to work on Sundays.

Along with trying to find a place to eat, it is becoming near impossible to shop on Sundays due to the new mall, City Creek insisting upon all of their tenants being closed on Sunday, including Nordstorm who is being paid by the mall to be closed on Sundays.
