This article was mainly speculation on the possible effects of a ruling for or against ObamaCare on the presidential elections. The perspectives varied widely due to viewing both outcomes through a Republican and Democrat lense. If the bill were to be ruled as constitutional its not a garuntee that Obama will be re-elected due to his success. Anyone that is against would be garunteed to vote republican to get the law repealed. And with the polls showing that 3 out of 5 Americans want the law repealed, that could be one possibility. However, this could also depend on who the republican candidate is. Romney has already passed a healthcare law similar to ObamaCare for Massachusetts. Again, there is a lot of "what-if"s to this situation. On the Democat side, if ObamaCare is ruled as unconstitutional, republicans could lose due to their strong focus on the repeal of the law and not what to do in replace of the law. Democrats have the option of refocusing on insurance companies. There's still no telling what way the Supreme court will rule, but there is no question their ruling will affect the elections. In my opinion, I think ObamaCare is a good idea when it comes to the common good. People already pay for other people's healthcare but it's six times th cost. If you have health insurence, you would be paying for someone else's care but for a lot less. For that reason only is why I approve of it.
