Taking Protest To The Next Level
Today in the English Premier League, the best soccer league in the world, Manchester City lost 1-0 to Everton. Normally, the top team in the Premier League losing to an average team like Everton, is a big story, but today, it got slighted by something else. In the first half, the ref blew the whistle for no apparent reason, and soon the cameras moved to the Manchester City goal.
All anyone could see at first was a crowd of bright yellow jacket wearing security guards. As the camera angles got better, everyone could see what was happening. A man had run onto the field and handcuffed himself to the goal. The game had to be stopped for about 5 minutes so security could cut him loose with bolt-cutters. Some of the fans were laughing, others were pretty ticked. Later in the day people found out he was protesting a foreign Airline company called Ryanair.
Some people climb trees or hold signs, but this man took it to another level. It's going to be interesting to see if this catches on with other protesters. I sure hope we don't see any protesters chained to the goal post during the Super Bowl this sunday.

Dear Phickman3:
I enjoyed your post “Taking protest to the next level” because I agree with the post and what it attempted to say. I also appreciate it because it is informative. A sentence that stood out to me is “Later in the day people found out he was protesting a foreign Airline company called Ryanair.” because why would he be protesting airlines. Another sentence that stood out is “As the camera angles got better, everyone could see what was happening. A man had run onto the field and handcuffed himself to the goal.” This is interesting because it shows how people take things too far. Your post reminds of a Wall Street and the 99%. I agree whith what
