Tea Parties
The internet is abuzz with talk of a modern-day tea party protest. The protest is similar to the Boston Tea Party of late 1700s in that citizens will protest unfair taxation. Today, the protesters are upset over the new administration's relentless spending and taxing. Protests are being organized across the country and even TV and radio personalities are getting in on the action: Sean Hannity and Glen Beck are pushing protests of their own.
Many of the protesters see this as just their civil duty, a chance to speak out on what is going on in their government. On conservative blogger posted this quote on his blog encouraging the protest:"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds." — Samuel Adams
