Technology

            Technology is one of the most fascinating things to happen to our world. It helps us on anything from doing homework on computers to traveling in cars. We are starting to rely on this technology that we are starting to become lazy. Is it possible that the same technology we enjoy weaken us? This is just one of the many questions I have.

           In the article “Technology:  Blessing or Curse the Increase of Technology” ( http://www.helium.com/items/1818134-technology-blessing-or-curse) it states that in the Washington Post it was said that there was one cell phone for every two people. It also says that at least thirty nations have more cell phones then people. The technology these days have changed the way we work and communicate. We can now work and communicate faster than before. To these pros there are also cons. For example, people are now texting each other and communicating through computers that it is affecting their social skills. The too much television is another con to technology because it makes us lose our interest in physical activities, we get more emotional and on computers half the time people are talking with adults pretending to be teens posing a threat on youth lives.

        After reading this article it does make me think that thanks to all this technology we are becoming lazy and losing our social skills. We now prefer to text a friend instead of calling or hanging out with them. There are people who are always on social websites and I wonder if half the time does they really know who they are talking to. It is incredible how far we have come but I think we should be careful on what we built or what technology we make so it won’t affect us in a negative way. It has also made me realize that technology is part of our communities and it is spreading fast.
