Time Management Game: Hotel Dash
Not all games are the same. Some are computer games and board games played for fun. Others seem to be designed to teach the people. While some are played simply to past time, another reason for why people play games is to learn something out of it. Whatever game it is, the goals are always the same: Win and accomplish/achieve the tasks asked or levels. I enjoy playing all kinds of games, whether it is on technology devices or board games. I enjoy playing because it is fun, it helps you be an expert in the game and I feel happy when I win.
I am addicted to time management games: Hotel Dash, Supermarket Management, Diner Dash, Cake Mania, and Sally’s Spa. Anything and everything that takes time to win and a lot of concentration and effort. I love to be the boss and have control over the game, in those games, I’m the controller and I control the people in it, when I pass the level, I get more into it and more confident. I enjoy baking cakes in Cake mania and boss employees around in the Supermarket Management. I enjoy knowing that I’m one step closer to the ultimate level and pass it to be a winner. If I happen to lose, I do what any other player would do. I tell myself that it’s a good practice because I can restart the level.I always continue to play even if I’m playing terribly because it’s fun and practice makes perfect.
Recently, Ive been spending some time playing the game Hotel Dash. This is a game which you have to satisfy the costumers and get enough points to pass the level. The goal of the game is to complete and shine all the hotels that I am managing to a five star hotel. The sub-goals are to complete each level in each hotel and add more luxurious decorations and get what the costumers want. This is a goal easier said than done. Some obstacles that prevents you to be successful is some costumers have bad habits. Some likes to sleepwalk which can disturb other costumers and they wont checkout unless you catch them. The game has limited hotel rooms and much more costumers will come. By the end of the game, if you are lucky enough to make it to the end of the whole game, you become famous.
The first time you play the game, you might be having fun already. Its fun because you get to drag the people to their rooms, you get extra points if they are in the same room color as their clothes. It isn’t until the third or fourth time when the game starts to get repetitive that you truly realize there’s more to it than dragging the costumers to their room and serve them food. When the game gets more intense, you have to do things so fast and the costumers are so naggy and they become unhappy easily. You begin to feel more concentrated in the game, its hard to look away because alot can happen if you do and you might just fail.
There are times when you are playing this game that you want to quit because it gets so confusing with all the costumers wanting new towels, room service, housekeeping, and more. You have to overcome that by trying to follow a pattern that can make everything seem more sense and organized. Although it gets confusing, you keep going because its a challenge. So you keep playing, keep trying. Trying to satisfy the costumers and earn enough points and money to renovate the hotel to make it better and more welcoming. You want to earn enough points to money in order to renovate the hotel and decorate a specific room for a special occasion at the end of each hotel final. Some tips to know about how to win is, when you are allowed to use fruit baskets that can make costumers happy, right when the game begins, collect enough baskets and leave them at the room doors. Another tip is try to deliver chains of things to the costumers to save time and save from running up and down the whole entire hotel. Good luck and hope you play this game through.
