Time to Move On From High School...
Oh these last four years of high school have just passed so much quicker than one might have originally thought. I just can't stop counting the days till we graduate, but I'm not sure if that is from not being able to wait any more or reminding myself how much more time I have left to cherish...maybe both.
I have learned quite a lot too, let's just focus on the academic learning though:
I have learned in AP Music Theory too much to be able to even make sense of it on this post, from why V(5) going to I(1) in music is one of the best progressions, to how to create great counterpoint and voice leading that sounds perfect, to sight-singing and notating aural melody. Latin class has been fun to, not only the language but also the mythologies and Roman life, which we learned in that class. I'm sure the myths such as that of Bellerophon and how he killed the chimera to how Zeus won against Typhon, might help in college and my reading, if I want to find common themes. Peer Ministry(a religion class that not only helps with class retreats and mass, but also learns about morality) has helped teach moral principles such as "The Lesser of Two Evils" with which I might be able to live a better life, as opposed to having not learned it. AP Psychology has taught me what it is like to be human from the perspective of the brain, how we learn, how we grow, live, have fun, feel, and do all the wonderful things we can with such a small(compared to the amount it can do) organ. English has taught me how to catch things in my reading such as variation in structure, rhetorical devices and how to translate Shakespeare-ean.
Oh, the many things more that I have learned but have not put in this post, and just by remembering one thing from my education I remember two more. I could sit and talk for hours going class by class, year by year, saying what I learned and then going in further depth, and still not be done. High school, I will miss you.
