TIME TO STOP EATING 'UNSAFE GRASS'
"Farm ministry ready to set no-grazing zone for cows, cattle" - Link to article: http://www.asahi.com/english/TKY201105020146.html
Drama ensues in Japan.
Just when it was reported that the traces of radioactivity in spinach was safe enough to eat, in a more recent news source, Asahi, staff writer Satoshi Otani states that in Fukushima and Chiba, "Radioactive materials at levels far higher than safety standards for grazing have been detected in checks of grass in some parts of Fukushima and Chiba prefectures."
Research concludes that what the cow eats affects the product of its meat and milk--allowing citizens to consume contaminated food if the cow, prior to being manhandled on their plate, was exposed to adulterated grass. Alarmed by this, it is now a regulation that farmers have to import foreign grass in unaffected areas to ensure that their cows are not grazing on threats.
There's more to the attack of Mother Nature than what is in plain sight--the citizens are trying to cope as much as possible. It shows how money isn't the only problem for repairement to buildings, but pure food and water are necessities as well.
Would this new requirement raise prices of dairy products and protein?
