Travels With Charley By John Steinbeck

This book was about a writer named John Steinbeck taking the risk of going on a journey through America with his travel companion and dog, Charley. They go through many states and experience new people. His main motivation for the journey was to see America one last time because he was aware of his weak heart and vanishing strength. I thought it was a very good book because it shows how all people can be so different. He very thoroughly described his journey with many details. The reader definitely had to understand that it was in the time period of the Cuban Missile Crisis. There was a lot of controversy in America at that time but John still built a small containment on his truck where he would live and travel in. The journey itself was not just a few days but a few months. Overall, this book was very inspiring and John Steinbeck is a very good author. I would recommend Travels With Charley.

Dear Bayshtokg,

I really enjoyed reading you post on the novel, Travels with Charley. I think that you described several key points exquisitely. I also had read this novel, and I to found it to be a motivating and inspiring novel. I read this book after reading the novel by John Steinbeck Of Mice and Men. If you have not read this book, I would suggest this novel to you.

Sincerely,
AnastasioN
