Two
Janie did not make the right decision in Chapter 4. She had no reason to leave him. If she left him because of the way he treats her then its fine, but she seeks love because she probably never had that before. So being curious is very interesting way to go through relationships , but it is not something you can put a man through.
I would not have done the same thing. I would not have left. I would not listen to people and follow their ideas, so situation would not have happen.
"Janie pumped it off until she got a good look at the man. He talked friendly while he drank." Janie was being very open mind and decided to attract more men to her. As she went to see this person she grew more attached and believed that she was in love with the person, and she ran off with him. I felt that her decision was not a good, that is because she never got to know him well and this happens later on to her that she regrets.
"Janie debated the matter that night in bed." This already shows that she regretted many things that has happen. It would be the only reason to lay in bed and think about it.
I believe Janie would be miserable from her choices that she made, and she was. Joe Starks seemed to be too good to be true; there is no such thing as a fairy tale that would come true. True love seems to not exist in society that she made for herself.
