Unusual Perspective
When I think of unusual perspectives, I think, “How can I make this not look like what it is?” This photo achieves that. At first glance, it does not appear to be of a bird feeder. The use of unusual perspective takes away from being objective and emphasizes what kind of mood is trying to be translated. For this photo I, and the following, I was going for a combination of “industrial and organic.” I thought that by capturing different and intense materials, but formed in organic shapes, I could achieve that. This bird feeder is and intense metal figure, but involves a lot of round and ornate details that make it organic as well.

You are right. What really
You are right. What really caught my attention in your picture is the fact that I do not know what it is. It seems as if there are different "levels" to your photo. They give depth to the picture and add another dimention. I really like its stark, metallic theme and I think that your photo is great.
Your picture caught my
Your picture caught my attention because of its unique texture and interesting object use. I notice it was taken by tilting downward. The most interesting thing about this picture is the bird feeder. It looks unusual and its hard to tell its a bird feeder without looking closer. I noticed you are using tilting down and background simplified to attract attention to the subject. A suggestion would be to get a bit more of background, because I'm interested as to whats behind the bird feeder. The picture I took of composition, becuase this is also background simplified and tilting downward.
Usually when I look at
Usually when I look at something I want to know right away what it is. While your picture does not tell me the first second what the subject is, I am still interested in finding out what the object is. Even though the picture is in black and white, I can tell that if I saw this in color that there would be much richness, and texture. I can see the sheen glowing on the metal part of the bird feeder, which I find stunning. I also agree with a statement about how you might want to extend your picture beyond the bird feeder. While it is nice to zero in on the subject and get the specifics, it is also good to get the entire picture, and be able to see how the bird feeder relates to its environment.
