Why doesn’t anyone carry a pocketwatch or a handkerchief anymore?
Wristwatches, though originally seen as effeminate around the time of the turn of the twentieth century, began to surpass pocketwatches during and after the First World War, in which their practicality and convenience was proven. With the advent of disposable tissues, handkerchiefs have become a relic of the past, generally seen as unsanitary or inconvenient.

Why did Nalgene change their bottles?
Nalgene’s classic bottle, which was of opaque, soft plastic, took second place in recent years to their ‘Everyday’ line, the plastic in which does not contain Bisphenol A, or BPA, an organic compound , which, it is theorized, can negatively impact fetal brain development, disrupt the dopaminergic system, disrupt thyroid function, cause cancer, and lead to DNA methylation. Hence the phase-out.

 Senor,  You are unique,

 Senor,

You are unique, unlike most people, you fight and are very slow in adapting to modern technology, which often provide modern conveniences. Why would I want to carry a pocket watch, which is both delicate and large, when I could just check my cell phone for the time? Like you have discovered in your research of handkerchiefs, they are disgusting and unsanitary.

Jake Brugger, your questions

Jake Brugger, your questions are interesting. They do not relate in anyway except for the fact that both of the questions deal with products and/or trends going away. I think it would be very interesting if everyone carried a pocket watch around instead of a wearing a wrist watch. It would be different for sure. My grandpa uses a hanky, but that is probably because he is old and he grew up using it. I would not want to carry a used tissue in my pocket though, and even when I am old, I do not think i will want to either. I might carry a pocket watch though because those look classy to me. I have nothing to say about the water bottle issue. I just use whatever I find as a water bottle. I used to use a BPA filled bottle all the time, but then I lost it. Do I care if I get affected by BPA? No, well, not right now anyway, but maybe I will later after I am dead from too much BPA. How many people do you know who have died from BPA? None? Well I might be that one. But, until then, you should post more interesting such as these soon. Thanks.
