I took this photo at my friend’s lake house.  i thought that this willow looked really strong against the bright reflection of the sky in the lake.  Its majestic appearance drew me to photograph it.  It was a cloudy day but i think that the grey sky added to the intensity of the silhouette.

Hi,

I really think that the willow makes a strong impression. I think the lighting on the lake is really pretty. Can you check out my pictures?

I noticed your picture

I noticed your picture because of the colors.  I really like how everything is sort of dark, but once you look at the picture more you realize that the sky is light.  I really like the detail of the tree in the picture, and it gives me the feeling of loneliness and wisdom.

This is soo gorgeous! I love

Dear Emma

i find your picture very attractive and soothing weeping fit perfectly with this picture. i find that this picture is dark and twisty which is reavealing sad moments but it is also very romantic mood. this pictures remind me some sad moment just because it is dark . i would look forward to see more of your post because you took good pictures.

Dear EmmaM,

I agree with your post ,”Weeping Willow,” because it does symbolizes how strong the tree is and how it still brings brightness to something even though there is gloominess around it.

One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is:”I thought that this willow looked really strong against the bright reflection of the sky in the lake...It was a cloudy day but I think that the grey sky added to the intensity of the silhouette.” I think this is a good choice of words because it elaborates on how you felt about the tree. You emphasizes on how that specific tree represented something so profound.

The image that you posted was interesting because it makes you think. It kind of relates to question which is Why do people have a low self esteem?

Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because it makes you think as well as see how others use symbolism.

I love this photo. The tree

I love this photo. The tree reminds me of the one Harry and Ron got stuck in in the second Harry Potter movie. I like the way the water looks, a deep blue color and I love that you can see the clouds in the water. With the water the color that it is in the photo, It's like the water and the sky are the same thing. I also love how smooth the reflection of the trees are. The water is smooth like glass, there aren't many ripples at all.

In your description, I love your use of the word "majestic" and how that quality of the tree "drew" you in to take a photo of it. I agree that the willow "looked really strong against the bright reflection of the sky in the lake". The dark and light contrast really does give the photo more of a 3D quality. I feel more like I'm standing infront of the willow rather than looking at a photo.

I agree that "the grey sky added to the intensity of the silhouette." I don't think the photo would have had the same affect if the sun had been shinning on it. The grey sky gives the photo a more mysterious feel and because the clouds are so prominent, it add's to the 3D affect of the photo.
