What are the Causes pf Breast Cancer ?

I just read a Wikipedia article called Breast Cancer
http://personal.crocodoc.com/mS5iPY9

I was interested in this article because i know many women who have been diagnosed with having Breast Cancer. Also these woman have inspired me to learn more an educate myself on the causes and about breast cancer itself. Breast Cancer is a very tricky cancer to have because you can get it from different places and there are different types of Breast Cancer which i didnt know about until i began doing my research.
One sentence from this article that stands out for me is: "Prognosis and survival rates for breast cancer vary greatly depending on the cancer type, stage, treatment, and geographical location of the patient. Survival rates in the Western world are high;[18] for example, more than 8 out of 10 women (84%)in England diagnosed with breast cancer survive for at least 5 years.[20]In developing countries, however, survival rates are much poorer." I think this is crazy who would have thought that your geographical location actually plays a role on weather or not you survive this disease.

I'm pretty sure this is accurate, because http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_did_the_geographic_factor_affect_the_devel..., says the same thing "Breast Cancer" said about the geographical location playing a role in you surviving Breast Cancer. Another sentence that I agree with was: "The size, stage, rate of growth, and other characteristics of a breast cancer determine the kinds of treatment." This stood out for me because it is crazy to know that the size of your breast can actualy have an impact on what treastment you recieve. I double-checked this fact through: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/05/breast-cancer-risk-breast-size-... which makes me feel pretty sure that it is true because it does state that your breast size can play a role on your treatment.

What I learned from this article is that Breast Cancer is more dangerous then people may think there are many different types of Breast Cancer and many other details about Breast Cancer that most people would think are linked to Breast Cancer. I was able to get all my thoughts and questions confirmed due to the articles i have read.

Dear Michelle,

I am glad that you brought this topic into discussion because I too am interested in the causes of breast cancer. I am hoping that in the future we will learn what causes it so that myself and others may do what we can to prevent getting diagnosed with it. My grandmother was recently diagnosed and had to get a mastectomy. She is doing great now, but I long to know what us women can do to keep breast cancer away. I look forward to any future posts that you may have concerning this topic, and hopefully we can find the cause in the near future!

I also want to know more about the details on Breast Cancer. I know four people right now in my life that have Breast Cancer and are either battling it, or are a survivor. I am so glad about the amount of light that has been shed on Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer research over these past few decades, it really shows us the progress that we can make as a country if we come together and work toward a solution. I believe that breast cancer is important to know about because it can spread to all other parts of the body and become different types of cancer as well. I can only imagine what will have progressed in ten years if we have already come so far in Breast Cancer research and knowledge.
