What Is Greece?

    Greece has a history long ago where it goes to the Greek Empire and even further. Although, Greece is a beautiful country itself. I love the fact that it has awesome islands which fascinate me the most out of the country. When Greece comes to my mind, it reminds me of philosophy, Socrates, Athens, Sparta, Plato, etc. All of these aspects in Greece's history has made the country what it is today. A very rich history has led Greece to be a place where I would love to visit when I grow up and travel around the world. I want to explore Greece's past and learn more about it, without using textbooks. I want to visit this amazing place because to me there is probably no limits to learning.

    One quote from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greece that I found interesting was "The climate of Greece can be categorised into three types (the Mediterranean, the Alpine and the Temperate) that influence well-defined regions of its territory." I think that a variety of climate helps the country to maintain different inhabitants according to their weather preferences.

    Another quote that I found amusing was "An important percentage of Greece's income comes from tourism. In 2004 Greece welcomed 16.5 million tourists. According to a survey conducted in China in 2005, Greece was voted as the Chinese people's number one choice as a tourist destination, and 6,088,287 tourists visited only the city of Athens the capital city." I really find this quote quite out standing, due to the fact that I have never been there and that even the Chinese voted it as number 1 on 2005.

A really really exquisite picture of the majestic Athens in Greece. I love how they decorated the street with stars, which is a unique aspect of this part in Athens. Just a glimpse at this picture and I already feel like I am in Athens, Greece. Wow, I'm breath-taken by this marvelous image. I don't think I will ever get over it until I actually experience Greece.
