What Is Love? Do People Really Understand What the True Meaning of Love is?

Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been What is love? Do people really understand what the true meaning of love is? People think that love is something that shouldn't be taken seriously. Love should be serious because you are with the one person that you care about the most. I remember a friend talking about it like a few days go, but I didn't really take my time to go out and look at this idea. People always start complaining about the love that they are in, but they have to realize that some relationships are not true love. Lately the issue has caught my eye again. I know that many people feel that love is not a true thing and that "oh, i am really in love with this person". Well is that true? You have to see for yourself in your own eyes, your own sense of feeling. From what I heard, it is really hard to find true love. Finding true love is when someone commits all of themselves into another person and would do anything for that person as well. People think that love is a joke. Love is not a joke to be played around with. What if someone loved you so much and you don't feel the same back and you treat them like they are a nobody. Just imagine how you think they would feel? Everyone has their own feelings. Now that's just what I've heard, it may or may not be true.

One thing that I know for sure about love is that to be in love you have to share your life with the other person. Now I've studied my share of Social Issues and I believe that love is about trust and commitment. I believe that if you are not commited to the other person, why be with that person at all. That means you really dont care about the person for who they are. To love another, you have to love yourself first. If you don't love yourself, how can you love another person. Personally, its funny to me how people believe that they are truely in love. How are they truely in love if all they complain about is that the person that they are with is boring. If you love that person, that person wouldn't be so boring. I know at times in relationships that people get bored of one another, but if you both love each other with all your heart, you guys would be with each other no matter what. Love is about the care that you have for one another and if both of you make each other happy.

Love was important to me all the time. How can someone just let the word love go away? Love is a really strong word that shouldnt be abused for something else. I know that people will fall in love and people will fall out of love as well. Falling in love is not an easy task to accomplish. It takes time to find someone you truely love in your life and want to be with forever as well. Even though as people get married, they might not last forever. Nothing last forever because anything can happen.

Being that I didnt have a lot of background on love, I chose do some reasearch on the topic. This article provided a lot of information and opinions on love. Some people felt that love is about giving and recieving what is good. Being in a good relationship is about opening your eyes to the person that you love the most. Love is about enjoying the other person's company and knowing that that person will always be there by your side. Even though they are not by your side, you should always know that they are always in your heart. "If many people understand the real reason of being in love and what being in love is, there would be less divorce, heartbreaks, suicides, violence, and anything else that is related to bad breakups or bad relationships. This statement didnt really surprise me all that much, but it did make me feel sad. It made me feel like this because I want more people to understand what the true meaning of love is. People dont really understand and more people need to realize what love really is. So many people are becomming heartbroken because of the relationships that they have. People need to be more generous and more careful.

In another article "What is Love"? http://www.aish.com/d/w/48952241.html. there was this one statement that made me agree with the writer. It was "Love is the attachment that results from deeply appreciating another's goodness." This is so true because love is about having a deep feeling for that one person you want to be with for the rest of your life. Giving all you have to that person is being committed and letting the other person know that you really care about that person with all your heart and you would do anything for them. To be good to one person, that person would be really good to you as well.

All of this makes me think that why is love so hard to find. Love is not an easy thing and it takes a really long time. Even though someone is married, they can be divorced as well. To find love you have to open your eyes and see what that person really means to you. Love is not a joke and I don't take love as a joke either. People should care more about the person they really love, instead of messing with their feelings!
