What's happening in Iraq?
Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been what is going on in Iraq. I remember President Obama talking about the new oppression in Iraq over the summer. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that many people feel that the united states should not be in Iraq. From what I have heard,most of the terrorists come from Saudi Arabia
One thing that I know for sure about Iraq is that . Now I've studied my share of U.S.History, and i believe that the united states should not be in Iraq. Personally, it's funny to me how the united states gos to war just to be able to make a big profit.
the war in Iraq is an important because it affects the way that our government and our world is being run. what i now is that this war can make of break the united sates. if this war fails then the united states could lose its status among other its other nations.
Being that I didn't have a lot of background information on the war in Iraq, I chose to do some research on the topic. As I searched for blogs and news articles on Google, I came across this one article: Middle East’s new oil war: Iran, Iraq gloat over reserve size. This article provided a lot of information and opinions on Iraq. Some people felt that the war in Iraq is only for oil money. “Ciszuk points out that the size of the reserves is a main consideration behind the size of the production quota entitled for an OPEC member state. Iraq is currently allowed to export as much oil as it can, given the nation's need for rehabilitating its economy after years of sanctions and occupation. If Iraq's plan to raise its output from the current 2.4 million barrels per day to 12.5 million barrels per day in the next seven years, it will have to be allowed a raised quota commensurate with its reserve size.”This statement didn't really surprise me all that much, but it did make me feel sad. the united states has to sink this low just to make a quick buck.
All of this makes me think that maybe the united stats is just a greedy place to live in. we steal and cheat on anything we can as a country.
