What's out there?

What exists in other galaxies is an enthralling concept because it is so unknown to so many people (in fact, technically nobody knows the truth). But I think it would be fascinating to learn more about it and at least establish my own theories and opinions about what is really out there. I know there are other galaxies in space and I know that many of them have stars, black holes, and potentially planets and other phenomena. However, there is much more that I don’t know. How does a supernova affect the space around it? Why do supernovas happen? How are black holes formed? Are there other life forms out there? Can we get farther out into space to explore more? Does space have boundaries? What is beyond space? Are there other planets besides the ones in our arm of the Milky Way? There is so much to consider, much of which cannot even be completely answered. But all the unknowns are what make the subject so intriguing to me.
