Wiki_article "SELF-ESTEEM INSTABILITY"
I just read a Wikipedia article,”Self-esteem instability,” Wikipedia:The Free Encyclopedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-esteem_instability. I think this article help people in many different ways because it gives you information on how self esteem instability. Instability means that there is the state of being unstable; lack of stability or firmness.
One sentence from the article that stands out for me is: “unstable self esteem refers to fragile and vulnerable feelings of self esteem who will be influenced by internally generated, such as reflecting on one’s social life, and externally received evaluative information, for example a compliment.
I’m pretty sure this is accurate because,

Another sentence that I thought was interesting is: “Fragile high self-esteem, however, reflects positive feelings of self-worth that are vulnerable to threat, as they require continual bolstering, protection, and validation through various-protective or self-enhancement strategies”. This stood out for me because sometimes that may not work for certain individuals. Do people actually know they have a low self esteem? Do they try to fix it by professional help? Isn’t it going to be hard to try new things such as self-enhancement strategies?
I doubled-checked this fact at http://faculty.washington.edu/jdb/articles/Brown%20%282003%29.pdf which makes me still feel a little uneasy but it makes me feel pretty sure that it is true. What I learned from this article is how people may terminate their low self esteem, and i will look to see how this article changes the future. Hopefully it does because I want everyone in the world to become strong and be able to not be scared of what society might say.
