I learned that animal cruelty is different in every country. For example, during the year 2006, in China, dog control officers were able to kill and stary dog since it wasn't accompanied by a human. But in Egypt, if someone were to beat or kill a animal for the wrong reasons, they would either be put in jail, have to pay a fine, or beat to death. According to aniaml welfare, you could use animals for human purposes and it would not be considered wrong. So you could use a animal for food, clothing, research, and/or entertainment, but to a cartain extent.
