Softball means so much to me. I don't know what i would have done if i hadn't started playing it. This game is something i want to go really far in. I feel like it can help me stay in shape, and teach me discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. I think that those are wonderful qualities for a teenage girl to have. I know that to become successful in softball i must work day after day, and never give up. This game is serious and there is a lot of competition that you have to watch out for. I really feel like the sport should be more publicized because then so many more girls would be involved, and then the sport would be so much better. Some things that i would like to know about softball that i didn't already know, are maybe some situation plays that would help me throughout the game. I feel that if i know great situation plays i might be able to get more outs during the game. The average salary for a professional softball player is about 5,000 - 6,000 dollars a year. Personally i don't feel that is enough for someone who is constantly in training, meanwhile baseball players get a salary up to a million dollars. I just want so become a successful softball player, and i will be happy. Becoming a professional softball player is my biggest dream, and i intend on achieving it.

Dear Catherine,
I loved your post “Will I suceed in softball?” because I as well love softball. Every time I play I’m in another world. There’s this feeling I get that makes me warm and all hyped up inside. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “I know that to become successful in softball i must work day after day, and never give up.” Personally I can relate with this statement because when I was a freshman and tried out for the softball team, I wasn’t good at all. I was okay, but to be on a team not really.

Another sentence that I observed was: “I really feel like the sport should be more publicized because then so many more girls would be involved, and then the sport would be so much better.” Softball should be more publicized and taken more seriously; it should be taken to another level. For sure many girls would learn from it and love it as much as other females who have embarked in it.

Your post reminds me of something that happened to me. One time I was sitting with my friends and we were talking. They kept begging me to try out for the team and I did. Surprisingly, I made the team and was really excited. After I played for a while everything just fell into place. Now it’s my passion aside from music which I love as well. Many individuals don't try new things because they judge it right from the bat, but they’ll be surprised by the outcome.

Thanks for your writing. This topic was really eye catching for me and I feel happy that we share the same love for this sport. I look forward to reading more of your posts. Stay writing and never give up on your dreams.

Sincerely,
Genesis
