Winter Peace.
This project I all I had to do was take a 5 X 7 picture and turn it into an 8 X 10, which is what my picture is, although you can’t tell by this photograph. I was walking around after a snowstorm had just passed through. Everything was covered with snow and I thought it was really pretty. I took my dog out for a run with her Frisbee in her mouth and a camera around my neck. We were running until she ran through the snow over a lake. I stopped chasing my dog and snapped a picture on the scenery.
This expirence was a little different since it was a 8 X 10 instead of a 5 X 7. I also had to burn the top 50% more since the sky was way to bright. Matting wasn’t the best expiernce in the world since it was bigger and harder to work with, but I think in the end it ended up working out really well. There weren’t any finger prints or dust that I needed to take care of which made me really happy too.
The picture is called Winter Peace and this is because in the picture you can’t see any houses or anything that will/would disrupt nature in the photo. Everything is so calm and peaceful. Hence the name of the photo. If I were to change one thing about this project I can easily say that I would have taken more time on it and I would have tried harder to make it perfect. Since it was my first 8 X 10 though I think it came out O.K.
