What I'm good at

Hunger by Lan Samantha Chang: Tian is going to adopt to the environment and learns about the American customs. Tian is going to get use to the customs here and he learns how to experience life in a new place and also learns how to fit in with others and realizes how beautiful it is, the things that he is seeing. Tian is learning many new things and that is really good for him to fit it with the other people so he can be able to communicate better.

I think Hunger, by Lan Samantha Chang is important because Tian is learning something new and he is getting use to the people around him and learning new experiences as well. It is good to learn something new and everyone learns something new everyday. It is not easy to learn something new and you have to try it over and over again because no one is perfect to get it right in one try, but trying is the key to get better in something.

A passage from pages  36- 37 that seems important is: "I feared he might have snap something by pushing too deeply into the strings. I feared he would crush woods into his hands." I think this is scary because he might hurt himself really badly and stuff and he needs to be really careful if not he might be in serious trouble. I know how it feels like when you get woods crush into your hands and it hurts like hell so he better be careful and do the things right.

Another part that I disliked was: "I thrust my hands deep in my jacket pockets and curled them into fists fighting an unaccountable ange at my husband. He had been unable or unwilling to assess the truth about his standings at the school." This is an example of something important in this book. It shows that she was really pissed and stuff and was about to punch her husband or something. Also the husband should have been telling the truth and everything because if he did she would be pissed.

This section of Hunger reminds me of another book. In The Giver the boy had nothing to eat or anything and he had to learn new experieces in life and how to deal with life and to solve problems and situations that come along in his way. As well as in this book Tian learns many new experiences and about life as well. A lot of people are learning new things and that is really good, but sometimes learning new things may be bad also.

What's probably going to happen next is Anna begans to take violin classes and she begans to learn the second violin part of a double concerto. Tian always hoped that Anna and Ruth would someday be able to play with each other and they have been practicing for a while nows. Tian made rules and everything that Anna is going to study and that she is going to work and no more TV for Anna because she is always tempted.

I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book because I want to see if Anna and Ruth can work together like Tian wanted them both to be and I want to see if Tian does a good job of preventing Anna away from the TV and make sure that she studies and Tian works as well.
