yeah... help will be appreciated, please
So I am reading the book Their Eyes Were Watching God, or rather, tried to. I can't seem to read past the third chapter, consecutively. everytime I try, I always end up falling asleep.I don't understand why, I always try to pick up where I left off, which is the first page of the third chapter. And it's not even that it's not s good book. It's a really good book. But what I think the problem is is the language Zora Neale Hurston uses in the book. She spells the language as it is said, which is something I like. But when I read it, I just get so confused. I am usually a fast reader when I read by myself. This book makes me read slowly, and that just doesn't sit well with me. Any suggestions on HOW to get past this block?
