As I watch outside I see that darkness and greyness of the clouds that makes the day seem like a lot of people have perished in one blast. It makes me feel like I am the only one in the world that is feeling like the day and is making me feel like there is nothing better to do then just stare up into the sky, and look and wonder when the light will come back again. It is almost spring and there should be the warm southern air coming in from the south coming into the cold and dark and white north. I feel more comfortable when the sun is out when there is light and almost nothing is hiding in shadow, no shadow time no place to be left in the darkness. Now in the sky I see a dark sky and the heaviness of rain, or snow or sleet or hail coming down.

This is my first image I made with photoimpact, although it is not that good, it wasn't bad for my first image. Better ones are below.

I am exploring how the use of color and textures effects digital photography. I am interested in this because I have always loved taking photographs, and for Christmas I was given a fairly nice camera. Along with this new camera came a program called "PhotoImpact". I also recieved a tablet to draw on the computer from my mother, because she knows how much I love to draw and paint. With these three new things in my possession, I have begun to use my artistic skills to edit pictures I took.

PhotoImpact was a little bit hard to use at first, and I still have not learned of all of the features or how to use them appropriately but I do feel I am improving. Along with my tablet, I have made several decent images.

I photographed a person throwing a ball into the air. Since we were shooting in the dark I was going for a blurred motion shot. I was on a shutter speed of about 15. The picture came out as a blurred motion as I'd hoped. This picture communicates action by showing that the ball is moving through the air and the outline of the ball is blurry. The object in motion stands out nicely from its background because I was able to use a filter to make the background as black as possible to get contrast. I had to think about the shutter speed I was on and I had to think about how long I would hold down the button to take the picture. I formed a powerpoint at the volleyball that is being thrown into the air because it is white on a black background and also it is the thing in the picture that is moving the most. The challenges of shooting this was getting enough motion to make the picture an action picture, and also having enough light to take the picture in a place that was so dark.

I am exploring wine of all sorts. I am interested in this because I love the feeling when you see pictures of wine, especially when the wine is pouring out. It's like your expecting it to finish, yet it keeps going on and on.

A picture of a wine bottle pouring red wine into a glass.

I took the first photograph, and you can see the wine is being poored into the glass. I only know what is seen in the picture, which makes me love these kind of photos the best. The vagueness leads to creativity. My interpretation of this photograph is that wine is a deep focus, and all there is is a never-ending poor of wine, not gaining or losing any of it at the same time.

I am exploring parks. I am interested in this because parks hold so much potential; some parks have beaches while others are all forested. I be came interested in parks because I visit a lot of them and they are all different. While walking around you see so much life and color and it is beautiful to be able to capture that life and color in an image.

This is one of the first book that I was assigned to read for english. It is a classic book that is mostly falls under the adventure category.

a rusted old dead hand tighten in rope being hanged

This picture caught my attention because of its diturbing but artistic look. You get to see the suffering of the person not just the hand.

This is a picture that represents the night. It also shows the moon in darkness.

This picture shows the night as beautiful as it is. The moon shines in the night time.

I leveled this picture this way because I was in the Dominican Republic when Hurricane Gustav was passing by and we decided to go to the beach on a day that it wasn't raining. But after we left, it began to pour. I decided to change the picture as I would imagine that the beach would look at the time it was raining.
