I saw this quote in the book "The 48 Laws Of Power" By Robert Greene, I found this quote interesting while reading the second law in the book. “Never Put Too Much Trust In Friends, Learn How To Use Enemies.” In many cases I find that gratitude is a burden and revenge is a pleasure. Because we as people love to be satisfied or feel the pleasure of something right away. The average Joe would give up a fortune to feel important and happy for one hour or maybe day. As appose to waiting a year or two in order to be better off. For example people that hit the mega million jackpot go bankrupt after a month or two. Because they chose to spend all the money in one shot.This is cause gratitude is the nice feeling you get from helping others. Where as revenge both is a pleasurable feeling and satisfying.
