I attend East-West School of International Studies. Across the street from my school is Kissena Corridor Park but is commonly known as The Korean garden located in Flushing, NY. In my English class we have been going here a couple of times each week for the past few weeks, and we go to the plots that we have chosen and writie about what we see day by day. There are hundreds of plots in the garden and many different varieties of flowers there also.

I chose my plot because it looks pretty and has a lot of life to it. I say this because when I looked at some other plots, they had a lot of dead plants or none at all. When walking around it, one finds thirty-one bricks, it smell like old dog poo.

Something I have become interested in learning more about is everyday life in New York City. I started to become interested in Lee Friedlander because his photographs are mainly taken during the middle of the 20th century in New York City and other famous places in America. This way, I can easily compare and contrast pictures of how New York City and other main cities developed from time to time. So far I have learned that he focused on social landscape. Some of his work is posted in many museums here in New York City including the Museum of Modern Art. Some of the museums or public art galleries can be found here. The image below was from this site.

Responding to the Podcast

What I noticed most about "Responding to a Podcast" was that it talked about this girl who came to America from China and she missed China more than she liked America.

This it the picture that I used to play with levels in photoshop and I think that i did a good job because it was the first time using levels. I think this picture looks way better than the original one because the colors look more real and it also its more attractive. I also used my skills on cropping to crop the date at the bottom of the picture.
