focus question-

the reason to include research in my writing is to to see if i can relate to anyone else or if anyone else feels the same way i feel about eh topic in my writing

Everything we write is our own opinion and some people might agree and some might not.Its good to include research so the reader could go read and find more info about what your writing.

 It Is Important because even though you use your own opinions, It helps when you can back It with some esle who Is more knowldege about the particular subject.

It is important to add research to your writing because it helps you prove your point on a topic and people will have more respect for your paper.
