Teaching has been good to me, in this best of all possible worlds.
I've been teaching art in the NYC public schools since 1979. Can you imagine? In the best of all possible worlds, I taught in Bushwick, Brooklyn just as the flames of the blackout devastion turned to ash. The snapshots I took, walking to and from the subway and work are possibly the only documented series of this period of time. They have now been deemed historical by their exhibit in the Brooklyn Historical Society. I've been teaching digital art at , Insitute for Collaborative Education (ICE) since 1995. My snapshots at that school, installed with hundreds of clipped locks I have collected are going to be exhibited at a NYC gallery and then the UFT headquarters. Teaching has been good for me in this best of all possible worlds.
