Changes to be Successful

As a student this year as a student I feel that I have began to slack. Being honest with myself in the start of the school year I was a successful student. As the year began to end I believe I started to slack on the my work, and few of my other classes. I have met my goals by making up work, and completing extra credit. I have seen my grades towards the end of this year; I really need to improve them in less than a week. I have set new goals for next year which would start me of fresh, and maintain my grades at a certain standard.

The topic I choose to write about is based on teens having step-parents’, and how does it affect them. I was interested in researching this topic because many friends, and family around me suffer similar situations. I know when it comes to having step parents age difference really matters on how it affects the relationship. I wonder, if most of the effects are caused by jealousy of the stepchild or the step-parent? On the other hand it could be both. Another thing that comes to mind is, How does parents try to make it easier for their child/children?

Orison Swett Marden once said, “Don't wait for extraordinary opportunities. Seize common occasions and make them great. Weak men wait for opportunities; strong men make them.” In other words this quote is saying don’t wait for opportunities to get up and come to you. You have to reach out to them in order to succeed and make them the best. In life weak people that wait for opportunities to approach doesn’t makes it any where. People who reach out to them takes it upon their self to make their own to move forward. This makes me feel independent.

Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been why do people in my school go against others who like the opposite sex. I know a lot of people that have experienced this problem all the time. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that people may feel that it’s wrong due to fear, homophobia, religion, no role models, and discrimination. From what I have heard, most people don’t like it because of certain religions they have. Now that's just what I've heard, it may or may not be true.

What Is It About Them?

Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been what it is about boys that always seems to catch a female's attention. I remember Alimata talking about it in class one day, but I just seemed to realize that was a question I need to answer for myself. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that people may feel that it’s all about their appearance, personality, style, and features. From what I have heard, females tend to be very distracted when it comes to boys. For example, I heard that females tend to worry more about boy then they self and their lifestyle.

Something that I have been interested in learning more about is the relationship between love and lust. I remember Asijah my brother’s girlfriend talking about it last summer, but at the time I was having to much fun to even really pay her topic any attention. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that people may feel that lust have people confused and reason why people get both love and lust confused. From what I heard love is something you can feel and always know when it right.
