The Hot Zone is a book about a man named Claude Monet who lives by himself in the private islands of the Nzoia Sugar Factory. He worked at the sugar plantation until he got sick in his little bungalow. When he was not at work for a week or so, his friends decided to find him and see if he was alright. When they found him, he was in horrible condition and was very sick. He was coughing, throwing up, and moaning. They decided to send him to the hospital. The doctors told him he had the rare Marburg Virus. It was so severe that they had to send him to the better hospital in Nraobi.

In the Walk to Remember, a girl that nobody pays attention to falls in love with a popular boy, the surprising twist whatsoever, is that he falls in love with her as well. She helped him rehearse his lines for the school play and went to the dance with him, their relationship took off from there. The only thing is that the boy was known as a bad kid and her father was the preacher in the town, so he did not want her seeing him, but his feeling grew for him. She one day told him that she was diognosed with cancer, he was dumbfounded.

In the Westing Game, there are a series of buildings called the Sunset Towers. In these buildings there lives a girl named Turtle Wexler who was a real dare devil. Two blocks away from the appartment building she lives in is a house called the Westing House, where it is said that a man named Barney Thornrup who went into this house many years ago and never came out. Turtle Wexler decided to go into this house and discover what is really up there. She was not the only one who wanted to find what was in there, the other people in the Sunset towers wanted to too.
