During this week and last week in social studies I have been reading The Crucible by Aurthor Miller. The book is about withcraft and Christianity. In the book one of the main characters is Abigail Willaim, in the book she and some of her friends are caught dancing in the woods which is a sin and they are caught with fire. So to cover up she made up a big lie that they saw spirits and the devil. When they did this they accused some people of doing witchcraft some people had to die. But in order to find out the end you have to read the play or watch the movie. I think it is a really good book.

The latest movies i watched is Birth Of A Nation. It is a silent movie because it was made in the 1860's. Also the only reason im watching it is because i have film class and where reasearching sbout the klu klux klans and this is in the movie im watching. Also it is about dicrimination and how we became America. I think it is a interesting movie but it can be reallyyyy boring espacially bacause there is no speaking, but for the people who like action movies it is a really movie because it has war and fighting.

                                       When I was Puerto Rican

    I am reading "When I Was Puerto Rican" by Esmeralda Santiago. This book is about Esmaralda's (Negi her nickname) life story. In the book it is very detailed.In someparts it can be negative but it is not a bad book. It is kind of a sad book  beacause Esmeraldas mom always hit her with pans and knuckles her on her head. It feel like her mom doesnt like her very much. I think her mom doesnt like her that much because she is to busy with her other kids. Also because her mom and her dad are always fighting. But it is a good book i would recommend it to some people.
