In this video you will see photos that I took while on vacation skiing at Jiminy Peake Mountain in MA. These photos taken are related to my theme of nature and show many aspects of it. The photos show the sky, mountains, snow, and the trees of the background. With each photo there is a description on each of them.

Enjoy!

This video is about photos from my theme of nature. We used picnik and changed the photos by cropping them and changing the color using the different settings in the program. My photos in this video are all the same but just changed it around by using the colors.

Enjoy!

Color Discussion on My Theme

Within my photo, I found that it was very dull and the colors looked weird. I opened Picnik and then changed the saturation and the temperature of my photo. I adjusted the sliders to change the colors in the photo to make it look better. I believe after looking at my new and old photo, the blue color of the sky has changed into an even stronger light blue. The sunlight reflected on the one side of the building wasn’t clearly shown before but now is a bright orange. The green color of the trees is stronger now and you can see the outline and shape of them. Temperature is when the colors are transformed into other colors to enhance the photo. The saturation makes the colors in the photo into a black and white sort of balance. I wonder what taking a photo in black and white would look like if you were to change it into color? I also am wondering how the changing of the color in a photo whether going black, white, or adding a brighter color, changes and brings out certain objects in a photo.

Cropped Photo in My Theme

Discussion by: AnnieSe on Thu, 2010-12-09 11:36 with 0 comments

This photo is related to my theme because it shows the nature and the way the sun affects the trees and really makes you think what could happen to nature if it gets flooded later on in the future. I took my photo and cropped it to create more of a visual of thirds. This allows the viewer to zoom in on the photo and helps them understand it even more. I then changed the coloring so the viewer could view the photo better and see a new side of it. The photo looks really cool now that it has changed.

Photos Revolving Around My Theme

Discussion by: AnnieSe on Tue, 2010-12-07 11:30 with 0 comments

My two photos relate very well to my theme of nature, and how global warming may ruin it and how will we be in ten years....maybe even twenty years? The two photos were both taken at my country house and were captured later in the afternoon as the sun set. They really show the peacefulness of nature, now. But, later on in maybe ten years or so will the nature we see everyday be the same? Will our ice caps be melted all the way? Will animals have a real home to live in? These photos capture what we want for now, this is what we need for the future. I’ve learned from my theme so far that nature is hard to capture. Especially when I took these two photos. I went outside to capture the photo and by the time my camera turned on the sun was in a different position. As the sun moved on I captured it better but taking photos of nature is really hard to do.

Will Global Warming ever tak over and flood out our towns, cities, or countries?

This photo connects to my question because it shows to sides of the world. The warm side, and the side that has the ice and is cool, this part is probably melting as we speak. All the animals and people are losing their homes and towns because they cannot live with water all around them instead of it being ice. I feel bad for all the people out there that have to deal with this every day especially all the animals that are losing their homes and territory because of this. If feel so bad because there really is nothing that I can do about this. I will take photographs of all the different landscapes and probably at the different times of day if I can.
Maybe when it is light outside I can take photos to see what nature looks like then, and then at night I will take photos.

This photo was taken at a local playground in New York City. I girl was climbing on the jungle gym when this photo was taken. This photo looks really cool because he jungle gym is going up and is on an incline. It adds something extra to the photo and it really looks cool.
