Bad decisions made by Janie in chapter 13 in Their Eyes Were Watching God.

So, in chapter 13 in Their Eyes Were Watching God, We find out that Tea Cake took Janie’s money. When she found out about it, she waited until Tea Cake came back from his splurging most of Janie’s money, she seemed calm and collected about it, but then she threatened him. this is very apparent on pg. 147, second paragraph.

Janie went "heels to Jesus" in chapter 15!

Their Eyes Are Watching God is preoccupied with Janie’s transition to realizing what she truly wants. Most people would agree with me, because she has already married three times, and yet she never seems satisfied with whatever she has. This is still a very serious issue in our society now, but the way it is dealt with is with releasing some “sexual tension.” Janie follows this very same...”method” on pg. 160, the final paragraph.

Haikus by yours truly!

I decided to write Haikus instead of regular poems. Why did I decide to do this? the answer to that is quite simple: It is more on-the-spot than regular poems. And much shorter, which is good for me, because I always try to look for the best explanation in the shortest way possible. For those who don't know, a Haiku is a Japanese poem, consisting of three lines. The first line and last line have five syllables, while the second line has seven syllables, leaving a unique sound to it. Also unlike regular poems, the poem does not have to rhyme.

When thinking about relationships... a Their Eyes Were Watching God Post.

What is the perfect relationship? That is a question often asked. What most people know, but don't want to face is a very simple fact: they're no perfect relationships. Ever. No matter how hard they try, there is always going something wrong. And even then, what good is a perfect relationship if there is nothing to work at? Even a perfect relationship is flawed! Yet still people say that a good relationship consists of communication, just like Tools Schism claims!(song)

The Decision. Their Eyes Were Watching God post #2

So I just finished reading chapter 4 in Their Eyes Were Watching God, and Janie just left Logan for Jody. As far as I remember, Logan wasn't abusive, although I am pretty sure she didn't treat her right. Still, it wasn't justifiable to just up and leave him there like that. At least leave him with a little dignity to chase other people! And for the record, no, I would not have done the same thing. It just isn't right to just up and leave someone like how Janie did. It shows that you have no respect for the person, or that you just are a rude-ass.

What makes women different from men? a Their Eyes Were Watching God re-post.

What makes women different from men? Put simply, it is how we interact with the world and each other. Men tend to interact with the world in a more logical manner, looking at all the possibilities before making his decision. Women, on the other hand, act on emotion a majority of the time, which is understandable. Women have to bear more pain then men, while men usually provides. That is how the world worked so far: Men provides the physical support, women provide the emotional support.

I like how you relate the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 to this earthquake, in your post, “The Land I Rule,” because, although the two are known as the two worst earthquakes that Japan has ever had, the two are on two completely different scales. The most recent has the chance of a nuclear meltdown, the other one to over 100,000 lives. One is nuclear, the other is not, that’s the biggest difference.

yeah... help will be appreciated, please

So I am reading the book Their Eyes Were Watching God, or rather, tried to. I can't seem to read past the third chapter, consecutively. everytime I try, I always end up falling asleep.I don't understand why, I always try to pick up where I left off, which is the first page of the third chapter. And it's not even that it's not s good book. It's a really good book. But what I think the problem is is the language Zora Neale Hurston uses in the book. She spells the language as it is said, which is something I like. But when I read it, I just get so confused.

This is insane in my opinion. Its just surreal to think that such destruction can happen. I mean, what are the odds that Japan would  get hit by an 9.0 earthquake? I thought that our western state of California would be hit!
