Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Connecticut, West Virginia, and Maryland were surprised this week with a rare October snowstorm.  In Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia, more than 6,300 people were left without electricity, and at least 30,000 more people left without power in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  This storm was not only a problem for people's power; however, fans for football games were left in heavy traffic of over 100,000 fans on their way to a big game. This storm could be record setting in terms of snow totals.

A magnitude 6.9 earthquake occured Friday, October 28, 2011, centered off Peru's central coast in Lima.  The town of Pisco, Peru encountered an earthquake four years prior, and Peru's inhabitants were shaken up by the second happening.  In 2007, the earthquake was more destructive, killing 596 people in the town of Pisco.  The hospitals reported minimum damage in Lima, and 20 injuries were reported.  Lima was in 30 seconds of shock, and constant rumbling.  The city encountered several aftershocks with magnitudes up to 5.5 after the earthquake occured.

I chose to research the theories of the world ending in 2012.   In researching this topic online, I stumbled upon a website dedicated to the world ending, and how the calender of 2012 is going to be like- it stated 10 most common theories of the end of the world.  The first theory stated was “Aliens from outer Space”.  It was created as a result of stories of abductions and sightings, making some poeple wonder, if real, are these aliens from another planet, or beings from another dimension?  Another theory was the biblical prophecies of Armageddon.
