Stand up to bullying

Discussion by: 14uvaydovd on Thu, 2009-12-03 12:38 with 1 comments

On December 3rd my principal wrote a memo. She said "Some of the disturbing behaviors that I have encountered include: Bullying. That makes me feel unsafe and a little scared but there can be a way that my school can deal with it. Most kids that get bullied are scared to stand up for themselves and say stop doing that or they are afraid to tell a teacher. We could create a program for those people in which they sit with someone who can talk to them about how their life is going on in school so far and to try to make them open up and express their feelings and make them more stronger mentally, or in easier terms we could get some school psychologists like students who would be willing to help those unfortunate people and try to help them solve their problem. Also everything would be purely confidential between the student and the psychologist because some students would be afraid that the psychologists will tell the problems to the teachers which should not be the psychologists job it should be the students job. I believe he should open up when he is ready to. Anyway I think this is a really good way to approach this problem.

What makes kids love their school?

Discussion by: 14uvaydovd on Fri, 2009-11-20 11:41 with 0 comments

There are good schools and there are of course bad schools. There are kids around the world who either love their school or hate it. I think that the way the feel about school has to do with the enviroment around them. The United States has hundreds of schools all over and most kids in the United States hate going to school because they have so much of it. But then there are the kids in Africa and they love school and really want to be educated this is all because there are not a lot of schools in Africa and if their is they are really bad and poor schools. What makes kids love their school is on how much theyhave of it. The more schools there are in a state and the more education there is in that school the less kids will like school and think that it is is boring, but the less schools there are the more kids will like school because they dont have enough education.
