I learned that while shark attacks are indeed rare, they are happening much more frequently than in the 20th century.  In the 20th century, there were 108 recorded shark attacks.  Through 2010, there were over half that many.  It seems that most of these attacks are cases of mistaken identity.  Sharks do not have good eyesight, so often times attacks are the result of the shark mistaking a human for a seal or fish, two of their main foods.  I also learned ways to avoid shark attacks.

    This year in school, the most interesting, and useful, thing that I learned this year ws the effects that drugs and alcohol have on the human body.  Coach Cordova taught me

A special court ruled that childhood vaccines were not the cause of three cases of autism.  Three separate cases were supplied by parents of children who have autism.

 The national problem of obesity is showing no signs of slowing down.  In fact, since the awareness of this issue has increased,  so has the problem itself.
