I just read a Wikipedia article, "Recreation" Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia. 04 December 2008, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Recreation&oldid=253827436. I liked this article because it states what the word recreation means. It gives example of different recreations that different people do. I also learned that recreation is a sort of therapeutic refreshment for one's body and mind.
One sentence from this article that stands out for me is: "Some recreational activities are made illegal in many jurisdictions because of the perceived immorality of certain forms of "fun."" I think this is interesting because when I read the word "fun" I think of playing, laughing, and just chilling'. But this sentence is talking about the word "fun" in a different way. Meaning to some people is gambling, using drugs, some form of sex, and pornography. Looks I was really wrong of the meaning of fun.
I'm pretty sure this is accurate, because i goggled different lines of the article. and I found one website which I found related torecreation as a career. the website is http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos058.htm. I found out that for some recreation jobs you would need a degree or even a high school diplomat. Another sentence I searched is the legal restriction for recreation. This includes everything that is illegal in some states. I found out that in some states and country they are really illegal ways to do sex. In a state is illegal for a male to enter from the backdoor of the female.
Another sentence that I stood out to me was: "Excessive recreation is not considered healthy, and may be labeled as escapism." This stood out for me because I thought recreation was healthy for you. You know like exercise. And isn't recreation is something you do that you like. So when I read that sentence I needed to read it twice to understand.
What I learned from this article is that recreation is both good and bad for you, and I will look to see how this article changes in the future because if you listen to the news, scientist these days are finding that the facts we knew a while back were hoaxes and they are coming up with a different theory of almost everything. So I would like to see if the article changes. It will be very interesting to know if they come up with anything new.

Drugs is something i am still confuse don how it is FUN when you are killing yourself.
