This week has brought about some particularly persnickety medical problems. I'm not completely sure why, but somehow over the last week I have lost all hearing ability in my left ear. I feel as if my entire balance is thrown off. Even as I look at this computer screen, the letters are appearing askew. But for some reason, I'm not too worried about it. Okay, I'm going to the doctor, no doubt! However, this experience has brought on a whole new appreciation for my "regular" hearing abilities, and a sympathy for those without the sense of hearing.
