I enjoyed reading this article because it explains what the advantages are of sleeping and disadvantages in many cases for people who barely sleep. I personally barley sleep or if I do, I don't really sleep much. If I sleep an hour I'll be all right until the next day.
Insomnia is the inability to fall asleep or remain asleep for an adequate length of time*; studies show that 17% of kids ages 14-18 (high schoolers) have terrible sleep habits that define them as insomniacs. If we think about the hard facts of high school life these days, these results while still troubling are not surprising. My average homework load a night consists of atleast 2-3 hours of work, mix this in with sports that often keep the varsity team until 7:00 p.m.
