In reading the New York Times this week (online) I came across an interesting article that talked about people being able to skip airport lines. Intrigued, I read on, and the concept is fascinating. A person would be able to submit personal / background information, and if everything checks out they could simply breeze by security with an i.d card, fingerprints, and an iris scan. There use to be a company that did this before call "Verified Identity Pass" but the company was shady, and eventually filled for bankruptcy. The assests to the company were just recently perchased by a biometrics company called "AlClear." This company use to supply some of the technology for "V.I.P" so the transition would hopefully be smoother.
