This was actually kind of fun. I think that there is worth in annotating on paper text and on computer based programs. I am a bit nervous that this might be a difficult venture to try and teach all of my students how to use youth voices and how to annotate. A lot of my students are familiar with different technology, but these websites are not as user friendly as some of the sites that they are used to. As Ali G would say "techmology" is important and relevant so I need to get down with that and using it with my students.
My Senior Project is based on how football creates a way for many polynesian young men to become successful in life. Polynesia is in the South Pacific were Tonga and Samoa is from. Polynesian young men are very hardworking and talented. I myself is a young polynesian man chasing my dream as I strive for success and make it to the NFL. Many polynesian families live a lot in poverty and living the struggle. The academic source I found has a lot of information about polynesians and what they need to do in order to be successful.
The quote "Believe you can and you're halfway there", has many at bay on whether or not that is true. What truly is the meaning behind this quote, that our dear Theodore Roosevelt thought of. Some say its based of determination and hard work. Others say its simply based on ones state of mind. A positive thought that can lead one to success. In my opinion,I believe its both. Yes you, do need motivation, determination which equals hard work, but also to have that idea, that thought that YOU will accomplish what you've set your mind to. The world is full of so many negative criticisms.
Every volleyball practice our team practices serving the volleyball over the net. A lot of my teammates could serve it over the net. I just could not get the ball over . I was kind of getting worried because we are having our first volleyball game in three days! I knew I could do it if I just kept on working hard. I believe in working hard.
I believe that our choices now, while we're still young, will decide who we are. Now is the time where we keep our grades up so that colleges accept us. Now is the time that we stay out of too much trouble so that we don't jeopardize our futures. Everything we do now affects our lives later on. If we work hard while we can, we ensure at least a chance at surviving in the real world.
I believe in hard work. You will never accomplish anything without working hard toward your goals. Taking the easy way out might seem like the right thing to do at the time, but in the long run, hard work pays off.
As I have come across the end of the school year, I have become a better student. At the beginning of the school I can say I found certain classes hard, but as I started focusing more on the subjects I began to learn something new. Overall as a student throughout the whole school I have become more dedicated even though I still tend to do certain work at the last minute. The goals I have been able to meet were to become much better in math and in reading.
Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been how talents can affect someones life. This is just a question that as popped up in my head because I haven’t really talked to anybody about this topic. Lately, the issue has caught my eye because I started to think about what I wanted to do after school, so I started thinking about what I’m good at. In other words my talents. From what I have heard people would normally get a career based on something that their good at or want to be good at. For example if you good at fixing cars your not going to work as a plumier.
